As Promised
Here is my Resident Evil 6 review
Overall:
First and foremost the story lacked a bit, I made very few distinctions between the writing for the movies and the writing for this game, it's all phooey. Now that's not to say the game itself was not fun but the story was lacking a bit for my personal tastes, however if you prefer action without too much thought or story getting in the way this is the game for you.
Graphics:
The graphics were up to par for a modern game, that is to say they were almost real, not much was missed in detail and was quite breath taking at times, when of course it gave you the time to take in the view which was somewhat rare.
Gameplay:
Personally it felt like Operation Raccoon City touched up a bit in quite a few places but that is just my personal opinion, once again fear and claustrophobia is traded for big explosions and non stop bullet orgies. Personally after discovering melee could kill 9/10 monsters easily the game started to drag a bit, however I found the vehicle segments fun and interesting (except for that fucking motorbike, but apparently I wasn't the only one who had problems with that). All in all nothing new to the genre (we're calling this a 3rd person shooter as horror doesn't seem to apply to resident evil at all anymore) entertaining past time but not too impressive, the characters were boring (minus Chris who is probably the only character in the series of games to have a deep emotional well) and predictable.

Well that's it for today, I'm giving up on fallout 3 after many hours of gameplay my save games both broke and I'd have to restart so F that. Gunna delete it and start re modding Skyrim and New Vegas.

M.I.A.
Well I had planned to release my review of RE 6 on Sunday but a personal crisis ended that idea, got a little demo of Halo 4 and it's gorgeous graphics wise but as an FPS nothing new to write home about (and it is supposedly short), anywho I'm currently just sitting around playing Fallout 3 (had the craving to do so lately). Anyways my review will be up either tonight or tomorrow.

R.I.P. House
Well I finally got to watching season 8 of my favorite tv show of all time and let me tell you I cried during the last few episodes (if that makes me a sop so be it) Really sad it is over and will probably spend the next week or so mourning it, (like a good book or game that ends far too soon). Well been having trouble with Baldur's Gate II (I had to reinstall it then uninstall again because I overloaded its BCS file then reinstall again) and now I am remodding it, I've heard rumors about Solstheim being Bethesda's next stop for Skyrim but about 95% of it is unsubstantiated (proud I spelled that right the first try as my spelling has been rusting for awhile), in other news I am almost ready to give a review on Resident Evil 6 (I know it is late but well I'm a slow person sometimes and haven't felt in the mood to play it as it isn't very re playable to me), got a few more hours in on Divinity II and even some CoP lately. Borderlands 2 is still at my friends house as I lent it to him per his request and haven't had the craving to play it lately so there it will stay until further notice, As for Dishonored well I haven't really worked too much, I'm halfway through it because personal problems have kept me occupied as of late and haven't had an interest in stealthy gameplay so it is off the table until I can work up an urge to beat the living rats out of it (that game makes me think of rats, dunno why x_x). Anyways this is me signing off to continue that endless modding installation, have a good Thursday and get some gaming done.

The Shadow Keeper
Well been sitting around watching Breaking Bad and dicking around with the Shadow Keeper for Baldur's Gate II. Not much been happening lately so I'm guessing it's going to be a slow month.

Well Crap
No Shadow of Chernobyl it seems since it has deciding not to work at all, :/ I guess I know what happens in the storyline but I had wanted to play it for myself. Well I guess I'll move onto Call of Pripyat until I can find some way to make SoC work properly.

And Now it is Friday!
A Time to Stalk
Well after beating Divinity 2 Ego Draconis I think I'm going to take a short break to play Baldur's Gate and the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games (as I have yet to beat Shadow of Chernobyl or Call of Pripyat). I beat Clear Sky then kind of drifted from the other two games (I cannot fully remember the reason as to why) so I've been missing playing them recently and decided to reboot my attempts on them, I tried to sell two games I haven't played in awhile and of course Hastings offered me 1.50$ for them, better than those sharks at Gamestop who offered maybe cents (bastards). Anyways I'm going to start with Baldur's Gate II as I am working on the Yvette romance mod someone made for it and I have not mapped the whole thing through as of now while installing SoC and CoP.
Have a good Friday guys!

Well It's Thursday
Been playing Divinity II the past day or so, made about 60% through the game at least and then I have the expansion Flames of Vengeance to do, not much else done but still working on it.

Oh Yeah!
Halo 4 came out today or yesterday, wasn't sure because I couldn't care less, don't get me wrong I enjoy halo as much as the next non slobbering halo fan guy, which means I accepted where 3 ended and didn't need a sequel. I will probably play it for boredom's sake but I don't expect too much from it, even if it is good Halo ended at number 3 for me (reach notwithstanding).
Checking In
Alright ladies and gents I have a massive gaming hangover. Stayed up till about 4 a.m. playing Divinity II, was very very fun but now I am very very worn out even after a long nights sleep, probably going to go for more hair of the dog that bit me to chase away this exhaustion, got as far as lord Lovis' tower (haven't tried to go in and do the main quest since there is soooooo many sidequests left to be done and discovered). found some good equip for a low level character so today I'm going to try my best to punch through all aforementioned quests and tower. Wish me luck.

The Dragon Knight Reborn
Well earlier didn't give much detailed report on the (almost) week since Halloween so here we are, today as the date says is November 5th and I'm just sitting around waiting for Kathy to return home so I can borrow some money off her to buy Divinity II the developers cut, I'm going to do a quick preview of it now as I have played and beaten the original games campaign (Divinity II Ego Draconis)
Divinity II Ego Draconis is a very well crafted RPG most people missed because Divine Divinity was before most gamers generation, I however being fond of older games and spurning new ones came across it, it was like Diablo and The Elder Scrolls mixed to make a new game, story was about the Divine (Lucien in Divinity II) becoming the Divine and saving the world from the demons the second game takes place after it and after Lucien was betrayed by Damien (pretty much evil incarnate) and a mind controlled dragon knight thus the dragon knights were hunted down and butchered by dragon slayers, however the PC starts out as a dragon hunter in training and comes across a wounded veteran dragon knight, the last pure dragon knight as all the others have been tainted by Damien in his quest to resurrect his dead lover (who was part of the cult that was using Damien to rule the world). Damien now has disappeared after a great war, thought to be defeated and dead, he secretly builds an army of demons and undead to destroy Rivellon (the game world) anyways the dragon knight passes her essence onto the PC who becomes the last true Dragon Knight and despite being persecuted by his once comrades goes on a quest to defeat Damien and save Rivellon from his army.
Gameplay:
Gameplay was fun, 3rd person perspective, classic RPG touches to a modern system and a whole new concept as fighting in the skies as great winged fire breathing dragon. Yep you heard me, you get to play as a dragon, fuck Skyrim and it's speaking in dragon tongue and casting powerfull spells when you can become one of the great beasts and rule the sky. Fighting on the ground was nothing too special, fun and actually challenging unlike most games these days, players had the unique ability of creating from separate corpse pieces, a undead creature that will help the PC in battles to come, whether as a warrior type creature who meets it's opponents head on or a magical fiend that uses ranged spells to fell it's foes.
Graphics:
The graphics aren't top notch but excellent compared to the original games (being many years apart),
the world is a beautiful and unique place, rolling hills, mountain ranges, valleys and fjords, a tropical mystic Island in the middle of a vast and endless sea, overall it delivers a unique vastness that most RPGs seem to miss
Developer's Cut:
From what I hear it is pretty much exactly what it says, you get the dev mode (the mode the developers play it in) which allows you to pretty much cheat as well make enormous battles of hundreds of NPCs and such,
it allows the character to change into any creature in the game, (and unique NPCs I think like Damien or the Great Wizard Zandilor or hell maybe even Lucien). All in all it sounds to be an excellent touch to the game, the cherry ontop of the dragon filled sundae if you would.
The World:
The world of Rivellon is so detailed it makes the other recent RPG worlds look bland and distasteful in comparison, such deep lore and immersion into the world without having to spend hours and hours upon Wikipedia looking up things to understand what is going on in the game. There will be a few things missed here and there if you are not a veteran of the original games like I or other vet gamers (such as the teleporter stones.)
All In all we are going to give this gem a

Hey There!
Been rather busy playing Borderlands 2 with my good friend to post anything lately and when I'm home I'm playing Doom 3 B.F.G. Edition, killing floor or today specifically Baldur's Gate II, I've heard rumors of a remake of BG I but I am not really excited as I love them already and feel anything else might ruin them for me :'(. I haven't really worked on Dishonored or RE 6 lately so those might take a long time to be fully finished and ready for review, sorry :(
